Use UNSOLVED in your AI assistant
Connect the registry to Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that speaks MCP. It reads the registry live, cites each problem as UNSOLVED-{n} and needs no account.
https://unsolved.how/mcpAdd this address to your assistant as a remote MCP server. There is no key and no sign-in.
Connect your assistant
Claude
On claude.ai or in the Claude apps: Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector. Name it UNSOLVED and paste the address.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http unsolved https://unsolved.how/mcpChatGPT
Custom connectors need developer mode, in Settings under Apps and Connectors. Add a connector with the address and no authentication.

What it can do
search_problems- Find problems in the UNSOLVED registry of open problems in AI by words, field or status. Every word must appear in the problem’s title, topic, tagline, statement, field or stater, in any case. With no arguments it lists the whole registry in number order. Read one in full with get_problem.
get_problem- Read one problem in the UNSOLVED registry by its number, such as 6 for №6 (UNSOLVED-6): its full statement (what needs solving, why it matters, what counts as progress), status and verdict, exactly as its page shows them, with when the registry last checked it and what moved on it last.
list_developments- List what moved on problems in the UNSOLVED registry, newest first: steps on the registry’s own record (contributions, verdicts, status changes) and developments outside it that bear on a problem (research, results, incidents, policy), each with its source. Filter by problem number and start date.
Try asking
- “Which open problems in AI safety are still unsolved?”
- “Is prompt injection solved yet? Cite the registry.”
- “What moved on open problems in AI this week?”
Good to know
- It only reads. Voting, following and proposing a problem happen here on the site.
- It shows what the problem pages show, never anything private: no accounts, votes or follows.
- Every answer carries the problem’s number and address, so your assistant can cite it as UNSOLVED-6, with its link.
- No account, no cookies, 60 requests a minute per address.
