Agentic Commerce

The problem

What needs solving

Traditional payment infrastructures are built for humans, creating security, identity, and compliance bottlenecks that prevent (autonomous) AI agents from executing transactions.

Why it matters

As AI transitions from generating recommendations to executing real-world actions, agentic payments will unlock the next era of automated commerce; without them, agent autonomy remains strictly theoretical.

What counts as progress

- Consensus on trust/identity protocols for AI agents, - Initial regulatory frameworks for autonomous spending, - Scalable pilot implementations for machine-to-machine payments.
